The storm that never was

We were spending a wonderful Friday night swimming with the family and emjoying the evening. The kids were loving the pool and being silly!

Avery spent half the time laying on the side of the pool dipping her head under. Exactly what she was doing we don't know.......it's just Avery being Avery!

After dinner a storm started rolling in. The sky was getting very dark and strong winds and hail were predicted. So, we all busted a move and packed up as fast as we possibly could. By the end we were all running to our vans and yelling at the kids to jump in. We quickly drove home and beat the rain and anticipated hail. We settled in and sat in the garage to watch the storm.........

But it never came! It got very dark out and we waited patiently for the wind and rain. The were still in their suits and asked if they could run around outside. We let them and it did eventually start raining a little bit, but nothing much at all. It was kinda a bummer, but the kids had a riot running in the rain.
