Jaideyn had a Christmas dance program and it was so cute. Jaideyn loves dance and is learning so much this year. It is so much fun to watch her progress and her excitement as she is dancing. She truly loves it! For the program they had to wear a hat scarf and gloves with their leotard. How cute is she?
Our little boy has turned 7! That just sounds so old. He is definately growing up and it is so neat to watch. Because he is the oldest we are learning the process of growing up with him. Some things I am happy to see him grow out of and some kinda make me sad. He is learning so much and it is amazing to me.
We have the tradition that when it is your birthday you get to open a present as soon as you wake up. Usually it is just a small present and we save the bigger one for after dinner. But, Jackson had a snow day on his birthday, so we decided to give him his big present right away. So, here he is opening it with anticipation~and the big smile when he realizes what is in the box!

Just a fun pic. Avery decided to be a bit shy this day. After a good talking to by Daddy she dug deep and found a smile. Although it was just for me, we figured it still counted! 
We set up our tree the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. A bit early this year, but we were ready to get the decorations up! The kids are really into it this year, so they encouraged us to get it done. Jackson took on the role of setting up the tree. He was ALL BUSINESS! This is serious stuff going on and he was not even thinking about cracking a smile! We like to call it his game face!
Oh and our little Aves. She had no idea what it meant to put up the tree. When it came time to put up the ornaments she was all over it. She loved it. The only problem was that she only wanted to hang the red bulbs and she "needed" them all on the same bottom branch. (We let her put them all on the one branch and then we moved some of them later.) 
To add to Avery's excitement we decided that it was her turn to put the star on the top of the tree. Suprisingly Jackson and Jaideyn agreed that it should be Avery to put the star up~"since it's her first time!" In years past we have had some debate among the kids about this honor. As you can see Avery loved every minute of her "star putter upper job!"
The week of Thanksgiving Jackson had a feast with all of his classmates. The boys all made Indian hats and came to the feast proudly displaying them~ and acting the part!

There was quite a feast! All of the Moms were asked to send some food with the kids and it was amazing how many choices the kids had! They loved all the choices and most went up for a 3rd helping!
I was asked to help out with the lunch and thankfully the teachers are very understanding. They always let the girls join in the activities. I may be known as "the mom who always brings the other kids," but if it means I can help out in the classroom~then it's worth it to me! They continue to ask so I must be ok!! The girls absolutely love it! They had the time of their lives sitting with the older kids and eating lunch!
