Life.....

Not too much new going on here~ so I thought I would post a bunch of random pics showing a little of our everyday life. Here is Jaideyn painting one of her pics. That is one of Jaideyn's favorite things to do. Anything craft related and she is doing it.

This is a huge milestone for Avery. Jaideyn loves me to braid her hair ( I love doing it!) and I do it all the time. Each time I do it Avery watches very closely and always asks for me to braid her hair. Well, our sweet Aves is lacking in the hair department and I always try, but then have to explain to her that her hair isn't long enough for mommy to braid. I feel so bad every time and often times Avery cries because she "doesn't have pretties like Jaidey!" Well, the other day I was FINALLY able to put a braid in her hair. Although it is tiny and not all that attractive- Avery was the proudest little girl on the block. You would have thought she was Ms. America! She was so excited and even got to wear her braid to show Papa and Mema. She has officially achieved big girl status (in her mind!!) She even asked me to take a pic of her and Jaidey with their matching braids!

Decorating halloween cookies!

Messy but fun!

Here is Avery imitating Mom. I always have sticky notes on the doors with reminders and Avery decided that she needed some too. So, she "wrote" on them and then hung them on the door. Funny how much kids are observing when you don't realize it!

More crafts.

Game night with Dad.

Happy Halloween

Just a cute pic!

Our favorite thing about fall

Thursday night Tim and the kids raked leaves. It is something the kids really look forward to. For weeks they have been staring out the slider watching the leaves turning colors and longing for them to fall off the trees. Well, it was finally time. The trees aren't all "naked" yet- according to Avery, but it was time to have some fun. The kids grabbed their rakes (or a shovel in Avery's case) and helped Dad rake leaves. The helping lasts just long enough to make a pile worthy of jumping in. As soon as it is decided the pile is acceptable Dad is on his own for the rest of the night!!

Jackson and Avery goofing around in the pile of leaves.
Seriously? Who does this? I was laughing so hard at Avery because it's such an Avery thing to do- but in my mind I couldn't help but think about how nasty it truly is!

It takes several hours to rake all of the leaves in our yard, so it got dark as they were playing. They didn't mind though. This is the scene when Jaidey asked if I could please get her "an outside pillow!"

Almost done! The sad thing about the whole situation is that when we woke up the next morning and looked out the slider- the yard was completely covered with leaves. There was no evidence of Tim's hard work. The kids were excited about it because they know that means that they will get to do this all over again- Tim- not so much!!!

Our nature walk

Last week we decided that we needed to go for a walk in our woods. We don't do it nearly as often as we should, partly because Jaideyn is scared to go in there. I convinced them that it would be fun to check out God's creatures and their habitats. Also, I wanted them to check out the awesome colors. So, we bundled up (in clothing of their choice as you can see!) and we headed out. The kids enjoyed checking out the cows.

In the woods is this really neat tree that you can walk through. I was thinking it would be an awesome fort for the kids, but they were not having it. I couldn't get Jackson or Jaideyn to even go in there and look up to see in it. Avery volunteered and walked right in to check out the situation. Our brave little 2 year old.

Of course Jaideyn asked me to take her pic- about 25 times- and in each one she has to have a pose!

I'm so excited because Jackson is finally brave enough to climb trees!
