First day of preschool

Here are some pics of Jaideyn's first day of preschool. She was so excited she could hardly stand herself! I have a ridiculous amount of pics of this day because every 2 minutes Jaidey would say "Mom, we need a picture of this!" So, I humored her and now we have tons of pics of Jaideyn's first day! It started already as Jaideyn and Avery were about to get into the van. This is very important stuff you know.

Jaideyn has been dreaming of this moment for about a year now. All she wanted was to get her very own back pack and hang it on the hooks outside the room. For what ever reason this was the most anticipated moment!

Her posing as she is ready to enter the classroom!

The second most anticipated moment- having Mrs. Pat squirt the hand sanitizer in her hands. Each day as they come into the classroom they say good morning to Mrs. Pat, find the tag with their name on it and then finally get some hand sanitizer. This is very exciting to the kids. After this they are free to go and play!

Here Jaideyn is picking out her name tag with Mrs. Doreen. It is finally her turn. Jaideyn has spent the last 2 years of her life watching Jackson go to preschool and kindergarten and wishing she could go also. Her turn has finally come and she is relishing every minute of it!

While we were dropping off Jaideyn, Avery made herself right at home in the preschool room. Her and Syd got cozy playing with the toys and they too wanted to stay. We probably could have left them there and they would have fit right in, but then I would have been way too lonely- so Avery had to come home with me! Her turn will come soon enough!

Labor Day weekend

Our last weekend at Sandy Pines. It was a beautiful weekend and we were so thankful! We were able to enjoy all the things we love to do one last time. We enjoyed the water park and the water slide.

As a tradition we always have a potluck dinner at my parent's trailor with all the friends on Labor day weekend. I have no idea how long this tradition has been going on. As long as I can remember. I do not have a pic of the whole group, but if I can get one I will post it for fun! We look forward to it every summer and even the kids now understand what the potluck is all about. They look forward to yummy food and also being the center of attention. There is only 4 young kids at the potluck- and ours are 3 of them. So that means that the kids have a riot playing with the adults and goofing around. Here are the kids being silly at dinner. Normally I would not allow this stuff to be going on at the dinner table, but the kids play it up because all of the adults think they are funny and egg them on- so I let it slide!!

Very attractive Avery!

Jaideyn's "I'm silly" look!

Just a cute pic of Jaidey riding her bike at the potluck.

And after potluck is fireworks. So, of course we must bust out the sparklers. The kids get very spoiled with fireworks in the summer. SP has them 2 times a summer. This is a very exciting time for the kids!

Sparklers with thier friend Ellie.

Watching fireworks with friends Adam and Lindsay.

Just a cute pic of Avery.

One last day of playing at the water park!

One last visit with the train! Although we were very sad to go- the kids were very happy to be starting school. What a wonderful summer!

First day of school

I may be a little bit behind, but I still wanted to do these! This is Jackson's first day of 1st grade! He was so very excited to go all day every day. These pics are not fabulous, but he was so excited to get inside that I settled for these and let him go! I realize that I still have to appreciate and encourage his love to hurry to school- because it may not always be that way!

Our big 1st grader. A few tears by Mom, but I am so happy for him that it didn't take me long to recover!
