Tonight is the night that we have been waiting for and talking about for a very long time. It is time to put up the Christmas tree. The excitement was almost too much to handle, but we made it through and started putting up the Christmas tree and all the decorations.
As you can see we are not ones for having a real Christmas tree. That's just not how we roll. We love putting our tree up one color at a time. Each of the branches is color coated on the bottom so that the kids know which ones go next. The each pick a color and that is the row that they are in charge of putting up. This is big business you know!

And this year it was Jackson's turn to put the star on the tree.
We had a lot of good laughs this year decorating with the kids. One of our favorites comes from none other than Avery. She spent most of her time crawling underneath the tree. When we asked her what she was doing she said "squattering." We all busted out laughing and asked her what that meant. She matter of factly stated that "some ornaments are falling under the tree and I am the littlest so I am squattering under the tree to get them!" So a new family word was born. Squattering.
