Jaidey's last field trip with her preschool class was to John Ball Zoo. When we first got there all the kids went into a little classroom and a lady had 5 animals that she brought out and walked around with for the kids to pet. Jaidey wasn't sure about this at first, but she did really well. Fortunately for her they started with the snake, lizard and turtle. Jaidey is not afraid of those type of animal. She will pet them and hold them ~no problem. The problem is all other animals. If it has fur or feathers she wants nothing to do with it. She was very brave and did great!
After the class was done we were free to wander the zoo and check out all of the animals.
And play the drums of course!

The girls are strangely addicted to the tide pool. They are scared of it and plug their ears every time it goes through, but yet they want to stay and watch it over and over. It is really cool!
After checking out all of the animals the class met up by the pond to have lunch. They really didn't do much eating~instead they fed all of their food to the geese. I was very surprised at how close they were willing to get to the geese. I think that their friends are good influences on them. They saw all the other kids feeding them and decided that they should join. They had so much fun feeding them and chasing them around. Baby steps.....
And as always, the posed pic that I insist on every time we go anywhere. They know the drill~ do a quick smile and off they go. This one is marginal, but so cute of them together.
