The Children's Museum

For Christmas the kiddos got a membership to the Children's museum. So, over break we thought we would give it a try. This place is so much fun. The kids were running around all crazy and the beauty is~they can! They encourage that business at the museum. We were there for hours and the kids never got bored. I am definately looking forward to going again!

The theme when we went was penguins. Here is Avery going down the slide into the "pool of penguins."

I wish we had one of these at home. This is what dreams are made of! The kids loved going to the bank and doing the drive through all by themselves. They even played nicely together with it and took turns!

This may have been the neatest part of the whole place (for the girls at least.) There is a whole area set up as a "grocery store." The kids have carts and go shopping. There are real boxes from food and they are filled with stuff to feel heavy. I am definately stealing this idea! The girls LOVED doing the grocery shopping all by themselves.

Avery sending the mail. It is so strange that the things the kids love the most are grown up things. I can understand why it is neat for them to be able to do these things by themselves, but it's kinda sad. They want to do grown up things already. When they grow up they will wish they could do kid things. Such is life. For now we will enjoy our many adventures to the Children's museum!
