Here is Jackson being a silly boy as usual. He is modeling the Christmas tree for me!
So of couse my pics are backwards again, so you get to see us setting up the tree in reverse order! One of my very favorite things to do is set up the Christmas tree. And I am so excited that the kids are getting old enough to help decorate and they enjoy it!
The finished product! We started out by sitting down all together on the floor and talking about the Christmas season. We talked about Jesus' birthday and all the real reasons for Christmas. It was really pretty neat. The kids knew all about it. Sometimes you wonder how much they really take in and remember. But, they didn't forget the Christmas story. After our talk we got all of the stuff ready to put up the tree. Jaideyn insisted that she must wear her Christmas dress for Jesus as she decorated his tree. I was kinda mean and wouldn't let her wear it because she had to wear it to church the next morning, so we compromised and she wore last years Christmas dress!!! (Oh the things that are so important to little girls!)

All must get in on the action. Our tree was doing the gangsta lean, so Tim had to get under the tree and check out the situation. Of course he had 3 eager helpers. Just thought the pic was cute!
Getting started. Yes, we do have a fake Christmas tree and to be honest it doesn't bother me one bit. Maybe when the kids get older we will venture out and get a real one, but at this point in life I have no desire what so ever to take the 3 little ones on a Christmas tree hunt!

They don't know any different yet either. It only takes about 10 minutes to put this bad boy together and on to decorating we go. That is the perfect time frame in the mind of a 5,3, and 1 year old!!!
So, the tree is up and it looks fabulous. It is funny how each year the kid's ornaments overtake the tree and mom's idea of a pretty all matching Christmas tree goes out the window! Oh well, it's worth it to see how happy the kids are that they are able to hang their ornaments up!
All in all it was a wonderful and enjoyable night.
