She goes potty and poop........

ON THE TOILET!!!! I can't believe it! She is only 19 months old and she is wanting to be potty trained! Avery initiated it. I was not ready to start training her yet, but she let me know it was time!
Yesterday while we were in the car Avery said "stinkys momma" which she has never done before. She will tell me if she is dirty if I ask her, but never has she said it first. I assumed that she already went in her daiper, but when I checked the diaper was clean. So, I asked her if she had to go and she said yes. So, I told her to wait until we got home and she could go on the big girl toilet. I never thought that she would really do it, but when we got home I put her on the "elmo seat" that we have to cover our tiolet and sure enough- she pooped. So, I decided I'd better run with it. She has been going potty on the toilet also. It is so cute!!!

I must note though that she still is wet after nap time and stuff. I only let her wear her "pannies" if we are at home. So the battle is just beginning-I'll keep you updated as to whether we are able to keep it up or not!

Speaking of time going by too quickly...... Tuesday was a very exciting day for Jackson and Jaideyn. That night Mema took Jackson school shopping and got him a new pair of shoes and some clothes. Jackson was looking forward to this special day with Mema for a very long time. He could not wait to be able to go all by himself with Mema! He had and awesome time, and as Mema always does- she treated him to a little (or should I say big) something for himself!
This just shows how excited he was and how much he loves his new shoes that mema bought him! I can't believe that Jackson is going to go to kindergarten already. He is getting old much too fast. But, it is so awesome to see him grow up and learn and all that fun stuff!
Then it was Jaideyn's turn. (It just so happens that they fell on the same day) We signed Jaideyn up for dance class and Mema bought her a pretty "princess" dress for dance class! When Jaideyn was a baby I dreamed about this day and I just can't believe that it's already here!

Jaideyn is so excited to be going to dance class. Thank you again mema for sharing in these special events in their lives. It means so much to the kids to have time with you and I know that as they grow older they will never forget how wonderful and special their mema is (and especially papa!!!) We love you so much!

Camping with the Dejong's!

Last weekend Ted, Erin, Jake, Lindsey and Ty camped at SP with us. I believe this is the 3rd year that we have done this. It is a wonderful tradition and fun was had by all! Here is our beautiful little ladies enjoying the outdoors.
Here is our beautiful babies enjoying the outdoors! Ok, so they are not really babies anymore, but they are "our babies." It makes me realize how fast time goes by! I remember like it was yesterday how excited we were to be pregnant together and sharing pregnant stories. And now here they are 18 months old already! It almost makes me cry!

Here are the big kids! After a long day of enjoying the water park Papa and Mema treated them to a little icecream treat. What and awesome weekend! Thanks Ted and Erin for hanging out with us and we look forward to doing it again next year!

Christmas in August

A couple of weeks ago was Christmas time at SP. And let me tell you- some people go all out! Alot of people decorate their lots and trailors for the occasion. It is very interesting to say the least! Also, it is so fun for the kids to ride around and see all the lights. In Avery's words "more yights mom!" We heard that about 100 times that weekend. As you can see Jackson and Jaideyn are still a bit leary of the talking santa.
The blow up decorations are very popular out there! (Imagine one of those in your front yard at Christmas time!)

I have written about this before, but this is the train that a guy has at SP. It's set up right next to the road and everyone stops to look at it. They even set up benches next to it for the kids to sit and enjoy. This weekend they also got in the Christmas spirit and decorated the train for Christmas. It is really cool!
